As a young child, my mother's faith had a strong influence on me. She took me to church and from an early age I knew there was a God. Although I don't remember the exact date, I made a decision for Jesus Christ and came to a saving faith in my youth. By age 12 I began attending Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg. I remember my first day in Youth Group. I was scared to death and I felt like I was in a whirlwind. That evening I was introduced to some of the other youth and to the Youth Pastor. From then on I felt as though I'd found a place of belonging. A little later, at age 14, I wanted to totally surrender every part of my life to God, and once again I responded to the call of Jesus Christ. I have been confident ever since that my home is in heaven with Christ.
