Rex Almquist – Serving in Vietnam Rex’s love for the children of Vietnam grew out of his experience during the Vietnam War. Although the law prohibits missionary work, he established South East Asian Relief (SEAR), a Christian social service/relief mission. SEAR sponsors two centers, provides food, clothing, shoeshine boxes, elementary schooling and vocational training for youth. For the handicapped and ill, they sponsor surgery, braces, artificial limbs, physical therapy and wheel chairs.
