A lot of thought and prayer go into our short term trips. Now that you understand the vision behind the trips, what is involved? 

Because we believe that we are to be workmen approved in all that we do, and that we are to do our work wholeheartedly as unto the Lord, we want to be prepared for our Mission opportunities.  The typical process is 6-7 months of commitment from beginning to end.

Interest Meeting - This meeting is an informal meeting to explain expectations, the mission and it location.

Application and Deposit - Both are due PRIOR to the First official team meeting.  No exceptions.

Team Training Meetings -Once you are accepted on a CC St. Pete mission trip we begin a series of approximately 6 monthly meetings aimed at building team unity, equipping the team and preparing the ministry.  In addition to these meetings, you can expect several ministry preparation and fundraising meetings or events. 

Finances – Each person is responsible for the cost of their trip.  We do, however, provide opportunities for team members to seek support from others.

Forms - Due to the nature of group and International travel, all forms are required by the second team meeting. No exceptions.

Passport - Applications for US passports can be found at http://www.travel.state.gov or you may pick up an application at your local post office. You must apply shortly after the first team meeting.

Financial Deadlines - Due to the costs of purchasing airline tickets, reserving hotels, etc. we will have financial deadlines that we must follow.  A $200.00 deposit is due with the application before being accepted on the team.

Immunizations - Make sure your immunizations are up-to-date. This includes all childhood immunizations and tetanus within the last 10 years. Check with your local family doctor or school for more information. All country-specific immunization recommendations will be referred to the Center for Disease Control on at http://www.cdc.gov.

Team Covenant -  All team members must sign the team covenant of expectations. No exceptions. 

International Health Insurance Requirement – It is a requirement to have health insurance coverage while overseas.
